Etchings
Line Quality Etchings are created using a rounded needle to remove hard wax that has been applied to a metal printing plate. The plate is then acid-etched to produce rough ink holding lines in the areas not protected by wax. The lines created by this process have rounded ends and are relatively free flowing. These features can be seen using relatively low magnification, such as a loupe.
