This print features President Woodrow Wilson and his Cabinet. Pictured here are Woodrow Wilson, William G. McAdoo, Thomas W. Gregory, Josephus Daniels, David F. Houston, Robert Lansing, William B. Wilson, Newton D. Baker, Albert S. Burleson, Franklin K. Lane and William C. Redfield. Although this image is not dated, based upon the cabinet members depicted it was made between 1916 and 1918.

Two years into World War I, Wilson won presidential reelection in 1916 bolstering the campaign slogan, “He Kept Us Out of War.” However, citing Germany’s refusal to suspend unrestricted submarine warfare and an attempt to form an alliance with Mexico against the United States, Wilson declared war on Germany in April of 1917.
